"Glade Springs has to be one the best deals going in the country if you like to play golf. Three phenomenal golf courses at my fingertips to play for a fraction of what it
would cost me anywhere else"

Gary Cooper - Resident

If you're a golfer then you're going to love Glade Springs. With three unique courses to choose from, Glade offers up some the best golf in the Mid-Atlantic.

~   THE COBB COURSE   ~

Named one of the "100 Must Play Courses of the Mid-Atlantic" by Washington Golf Monthly, the spectacular Cobb Course offers a staggering range of variety with features including 51 sand bunkers, more than 200 feet of elevation change, 8 lakes, and ever-shifting sun angles. Even the fairways have subtle slopes that will catch you by surprise! This one-of-a-kind course was designed by the prolific golf architect, George W. Cobb. Stretching 7,121 yards from the black tees, the Cobb Course has strategically placed fairway bunkers that will surely put your golfing skills to test. The Cobb Course is among one of the most beloved golf courses in West Virginia and all of North America. In fact, Golf Digest consistently ranks the Cobb Course among the top five in the state. In 2007, Golf Magazine honored it as the #1 course in West Virginia. The Cobb Course is home to the U.S. Open qualifier, the West Virginia Open, and the NCAA National Championships. The Resort at Glade Springs has now joined forces with the PGA TOUR, and the Cobb Course is the host of the 2010 Prequalifier and Monday Qualifier for The Greenbrier Classic.

The Stonehaven Course, a private championship 18-hole golf course, is one of the most exciting and challenging golf courses in the mid-Atlantic region.  Also considered one of the best West Virginia golf courses, Stonehaven was ranked #3 amongst West Virginia golf courses by Golf Digest in 2009. Designed by Tom Clark, Stonehaven opened to visitors in 2003. It is a perfect complement to the legendary Cobb Course in terms of difficulty levels as well as the stunning natural beauty surrounding the property. Consisting of 7,203 yards from the black tees, the Stonehaven Course has amazing topography, featuring a meandering path that loops around both sides of the 69-acre Chatham Lake and passes through forests of maple, beech, hickory, and breath taking oak trees. Striking rock outcroppings that dot the hillsides and extraordinarily dramatic elevation changes of up to 80 feet per hole make this course one to remember.

~   WOODHAVEN   ~

Overlooking Glade Creek Gorge, Woodhaven Golf Course is the newest championship golf course in West Virginia.  Within an hour’s drive from Charleston, this course is a favorite with both locals as well as vacationers in the state. Designed by the acclaimed golf course architect Tom Clark, the Woodhaven Course completed construction in 2010. This course prides itself on offering not just a majestic view of the gorge, but also spectacular mountainous terrain scenery. Created for the specific purpose of complementing Glade Springs' signature golf courses – the Cobb and the Stonehaven – the Woodhaven Course is designed with returning nines with shelters at the farthest extremes of the routing. Like its sister course, Stonehaven, Woodhaven is surrounded by stunning rock outcroppings and lush forests of maple, beech, oak, hickory, and huge rhododendrons. The course has two distinct nine-hole loops – one overlooks Glade Creek Gorge and plays up and down a series of swales, while the other journeys through a steeper valley that promises surprises at every turn. The natural rock gardens and the native areas not only add to the beauty of the course, but also test the player’s skill and ability to execute a strategic play.
